City of LaGrange Natural Gas Department uses iPhones for field crews
Dayton, Ohio - July 7, 2013 - La Grange Georgia Utilities departments acquire Freeance Mobile to build mobile GIS applications for field workers.
Utility director Patrick Bowie selected Freeance Mobile for field outage and damage assessing on iPads because it utilizes the existing Esri GIS mapping. Easily integrating GPS locations and digital photos to mobile forms was a key requirement fulfilled by Freeance mobile.
City GIS and IT staff will build custom applications using Freeance Mobile allowing field crews to find system locations and map new features with their mobile devices.
Freeance Mobile uses live GIS data and records, information is sent directly to the City’s enterprise databases, saving the City time and effort by eliminating data downloading and conversion.
